  Amazing service. The front desk woman, Frankie was cheerful and very attentive. The location was convenient, the rooms were very clean and updated. It was enjoyable to be able to have the window open all night. The breakfast was delicious and very well stocked. The manager also made sure to say thank you and good buu as we left. Would stay here again.

  My mother-in-law booked a room for my nieces birthday. She told them when she booked it was for a birthday party. All the guests arrived, got their kids and selves changed into swim suits, we all went down to the pool only to be denied access to the pool. The unpleasant woman at the desk told us only paying guests were allowed to swim. Why didn't they tell us this over the phone when the room was booked and we told them it was for a birthday party?? We had to pack up 10 upset little kids (ages 1-8) and go swim somewhere else. My mother-in-law was denied a refund for the room. Another excuse the desk woman gave us for not being allowed to use the pool was that there was a hockey team who wanted to swim. As all of us parents were leaving with our sad and cold kids who were excited to swim, the hockey players and their families could be seeing getting in and enjoying the pool. How infuriating and insulting. I understand their rule but if they were told ahead of time it was a BIRTHDAY PARTY, why wouldn't they mention their rule at this time? We have had birthday parties at this location in the past with no problems.

  Great staff. Pool and waterslide are a good size. The rooms are nothing too special. Dated for sure. But they're clean and well kept. We would stay here again for sure.

  When I booked the room Frankie told me pet fee was a fat rate per night. when I got there they said is $16.00 per pet per night. I would never have booked the room if I had known it would be that expensive. The TV was on the fritz and had to get help fixing it. It was a nightmare to find. The address says Saskatchewan Ave but it's barely visible from the street. AC worked well. For some reason my carpet had lumps under it. Susan at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. The coffee in room was very good and there is a pool if one likes to swim. No convenient side entrances to take pets in and out for their walks. I give it only one star because of the pet charges...the rest was ok.

  Just stayed this past weekend for one night for a getaway. Outstanding from start to finish. Customer service was amazing. We felt like we were all a part of the family. Checking in was fast and quick. Our room was fantastic. It was warm and clean. Came in from -40 windchill. The beds were very comfortable. The WiFi was very easy to connect with. Would definitely give this hidden gem in Portage la Prairie 5+ stars.

  Needless to say, the family and the guests will never be staying with Super 8 hotels again.
